FYI.  If you have some old instruments in your attic/basement, why not donate them to the Minneapolis Schools!  Info below:

Ear Candy Charity will collect old musical instruments through an instrument drive to support music programs in the Minneapolis Public Schools (MPS).

The instruments will receive minor repairs if necessary and will then be used by schools throughout the district. Ear Candy tracks every instrument donation. Donors later receive an update of the final location that their donation to see how their instrument lives on with new life in the hands of a child.

Instrument donations may be dropped off at any of the 19 Minneapolis fire stations March 8 – 13 between the hours of 9 a.m. and 6 p.m. Another special collection will take place at the Yo Gabba Gabba Live! Events on Saturday, March 13, at 3 p.m. and 6 p.m. at the U.S. Bank Theater at the Target Center. Ear Candy volunteers will accept donations at the Skyway entry and the Main Lobby entry.

The Minneapolis Public Schools are unable to accept pianos or organs through this instrument drive, but all other types of musical instruments and equipment are acceptable for donation. For more information, please visit www.earcandycharity.org.
