Minnesota Brass, Inc. has just joined an organization, "Hands on Twin Cities".  They are sponsoring a Volunteer Expo Event at the Mall of America on February 20th.  I need 2-3 people to help staff the table.  Check out the attached for more information about the event.

We are new to this organization but we think this will be a good group to partner with to bring more people into MBI to grow our volunteers.  MinneBrass will be putting in a performance at the Best Buy Rotunda.  I'll have more information lon that later.

Please email me if you can give about 2 hours time on that day.

I could also use some help with graphic design as I need posters and flyers.  Thank you!

Planning is underway for the event at the MOA this Saturday.  MinneBrass is tentatively scheduled to perform; we are still working out rehearsal site locations.  I could use some volunteers to help staff the table.  Shifts are only in 2 hour segements (didn't you have some shopping to do at the MOA in addition?!)  This is excellent publicity for MBI and places us in high regard within the volunteer community.

Our table is located next to the Minnesota Childrens Museum so we should get a LOT of traffic!  Please contact me at

Many thanks to our volunteers who helped staff the Volunteer Recruiting Table:

Nick Moreno, Jenn Scheit, Scotty Wild, Eric Molho, Rachel Romansky, Bill Kline, Brent and Karen Turner, Todd Tanji, and Roger Grupp.    A big "thank you" to MinneBrass for providing the best entertainment of the day.  I received a nice "thank you" from the HOTC team for the great sounds we generated.  Many people that I spoke to (both earlier in the day) and later on were very impressed by the MinneBrass sound.

The event was a resounding success!  We had a lot of people stopping at our table inquiring about MBI and the DCI Minnesota show.  I think we even recruited several players; we even sent a potential new baritone player to the SWARM game that evening and asked him to stop by and meet the SWARM pep band members.  We were invited to several parades, invited to connect with other "band" booster organizations, met several band directors, and met many other interested people.

I have a list of names of people who would like to be a part of the DCI Minnesota team; and several of those who are also interested in volunteering for MBI.  I'll be working on the next step--which is introducing them to our organization and to our great support staff team.

Again thank you very much for your help and assistance!  Check out the photos attached.   Cindy Bach

Thank you, everyone who organized this and volunteered!   The table looked wonderful and Roger did a very good job announcing why we were there and where our table was.  We should do this again next year.  Grin

Hello -

I've posted two opportunities on the Hands On Twin Cities Volunteer web site.  Here's a link to check them out:
Our postings are #13 and #25 (Fiber Arts Assembly=helping with uniforms/flags) I had to post them under a certain category and that is what came up!
If you can share this link with friends/family; please do so!  Cindy
